Windmill Ridge Park

 This park looks fun!
 That's for little kids though.
We can sit there for a snack!
There are even MONKEY BARS over there mommy!
 I like this park.

Mommy says: Windmill Ridge Park in Rockwall (106 Mulberry) is a small neighborhood park with lots of fun things to do.  There is a small covered pavilion, a separate playground for smaller kids, a water fountain (no restrooms), and a creek running behind the playgrounds.

Jewel Park

Guest appearance by Dream Girl.
 Look at all those swings!
 Whoa!  So cool!
 I've gotta check this out.
 Look at us!
 LOOK. AT. THAT. MOMMY!
I love this park!
Can we come back when it's not cold, so I can play in the water?

Mommy says:  Jewel Park in Rockwall (7123 Hunt Lane) is a great treat for the kids the love sand!  There is a HUGE sandbox, with a sand/water table, a play structure, swings, a climbing structure, a covered picnic area, and a little open space with soccer goals.  If it has rained recently, be sure to pack some towels & extra clothes because the mud pit - ie sandbox - is a kid magnet!  There is a water fountain at the park, but it was not turned on when we visited.  The sand/water table was also turned off.  There is no restroom.

Meadowcreek at Madison

I tried to go for an adventure in the trees back there, but mommy told me not to.
See that house down there? That's my house!
I found a cool bench under this one. It's my secret hiding spot - shhhh.

Mommy says:  Meadowcreek at Madison in Rockwall (1420 Madison Dr) is a small neighborhood park. There are 2 play structures & there is a short walking trail. There is no restroom or water fountain, so this spot is really best for killing a little time if you live or need to shop nearby. There are benches to sit on, and a little open area to fly a kite or kick a ball.

Northshore Park

Look at this cool park.
I've never seen a merry-go-round like this before.
Look at me!
Whoooooaaaaaa! This is wavy.
I don't think I can climb all of this.
Slide!
My daddy pushed me on the swings.
This is so cool. Look!
You hit the buttons when they light up! Fun!
I wanna play basketball.
Hopscotch!
Even the doggie can get a drink here.
I really want to have a picnic here!
Wiffle ball? What's that mommy?
Mommy says: Northshore Park in Rockwall (609 Highland Dr) is a the top of the cool parks list for sure! Of course we wish it were bigger, but you can't have it all. With a small, yet really cool playground, a basketball court, hopscotch & four square boards, a wiffle ball field (with the balls & bats!), swings, 1 picnic table, and the very cool Neos 360 (for video of it in action, see our Facebook page)! This park doesn't have a restroom, but it does have a water fountain. The park is right next to a school, so you might want to avoid it during drop off/pick up times.

Lofland Park

(Due to weather conditions, park trips have been on hiatus. These pics are flash backs! Guest appearance by The Bestie.)
I had a party over there once!
I like the merry-go-round and the slide and the swing and the merry-go-round and...
Weeeeee!
Time to rest.
The CHOO-CHOO!
We are playing chase in the choo-choo train.
A stick!
I like water! ((The smaller pavilions can be seen in the background.))
Mommy says: Lofland Park in Rockwall (407 Kernodle) is a favorite in our family. It's hidden & not well known (until today at least). However, there is no restroom. There are several pavilions that make great spots for picnics or parties. For play there is a slide, swings, merry-go-round, jungle gym, & a bouncy animal on one side, & a "train" to climb in/on, with a slide, steering wheels, & pole/ropes to climb up or down. There is also an open area big enough for a game of football, soccer, or tag.

The Park at Fox Chase

A map.
Fast slide!
This was scary.
Water!
I climbed a boulder!
Mommy, I wanna play basketball.
This is a park.
Daddy had an adventure with me.

Mommy says: The Park at Fox Chase in Rockwall (Tubbs & Summer Lee) has a playground (not that great for smaller kids), a splash park, a pond, picnic tables, a covered pavilion, a basketball court, an open grassy area, & a climbing boulder. There is no restroom at the park. The park is a great place for a picnic or a short nature walk, or to cool off in the water on a hot summer day.
