Breckinridge Park

A restroom & THE BIG PLAYGROUND!  (This is at the 3rd entrance/parking lot.)
We could have a birthday party there!
...and a picnic over there.
This is the little kid side, but I still like the monkey bars.
See the baby slides?
This is the big kid side - I'm a BIG kid!
There are 2 rock walls!
Weeeeee!
Look at these silly stairs.
I didn't get to swing this time.
Here's a place to play soccer, or fly a kite!
The other playground & a lake!  (This is at the 2nd entrance/parking lot & a little hidden from the parking lot.)
This one looks fun!
The Princess & Little Miss are here too!!

Mommy says: Breckinridge Park in Richardson (3555 Brand Rd) is a 417 acre park, with 2 playground areas, 2 pavilions, a covered gazebo, 2 softball fields, 12 soccer fields, 3 ponds, and lots of open, grassy areas!  There are restrooms at each entrance & a paved trail runs throughout the park.

Longhorn Park

If we had brought a kite, we could fly it in this part mommy!
I see SLIDES!
Look at the cool monkey bars!
This is my favorite part.
Come on!  Let's go on an adventure!
Whoa!  Look!
More exercise stuff?
Have you ever seen a rock this big?
This exercise is the jumping one.  Climb up & jump off.  See?

Mommy says:  Longhorn Park in Cedar Hill (425 E Parkerville Rd) is a small park with plenty of room for adventure!  There is a playground structure, a covered pavilion, an exercise course along 1/2 mile paved trail, and a nicely treed area, great for exploring.  There is a water fountain at the park, but no restroom.

J.R. Newman Park

Guest review  - The Bobbsey Twins' Big Adventure at a Splash Park.  ;)
(If you don't know who the Bobbsey Twins are, I suppose I am aging myself.)

 Splash Park!

 (Aren't these two adorable?!)
 A "barn" to play in.

 Horses to ride.
A place for the smaller kids.
 Basketball.
 Great place for a picnic.
Plenty of room to kick a ball, fly a kite, or play a game of tag.

J.R. Newman Park in Frisco (8211 Twin Falls Dr) is a great place to cool off in the summer, or climb around any other time of the year.  The playground, splash park, basketball court, & pavilion are all enclosed in a fenced area.  There are large fields to play in just outside the fenced area.  There is a working water fountain, but no restroom.
